Hello, future me. The purpose of this post is to remind you of how you fared during Week 3. I would like to begin by saying that I am proud to announce that the reading for this week did not take you a terribly long time. I want to say that the reading was interesting but it kind of wasn’t. I think I enjoyed the story involving the mother wolf the most. I would also like to take this moment to lament the fact that I had no idea we even have a half-reading option. I do not want to give the impression that I do not know what that option is because I did not read the Week 3 section. I read the entire section, but I must have not read it closely if I did not see any mention of the half-reading option.
I am going to go ahead and move on and discuss writing. I feel like writing is a substantial component of this course, which is understandable. However, the fact that I am a microbiology major means that I do not really have many opportunities to employ my writing skills. I am not proud to admit this, but I am a little glad that that is the case. I maybe be decent at writing in terms of grammar and the like, but that does not mean that I enjoy writing. If I did enjoy writing, I am fairly certain that I would have minored in writing if such a thing even exists. Another thing that I am not proud to admit is that the best strategy to get me into the writer’s groove is the deadline for an assignment, which I also take as a indicator that I do not enjoy writing as much as I hoped I did.
